Two new high schools to open in September 2015

Construction is already underway for Royal Bay Secondary School and the new Belmont Secondary School. Both schools will open for the 2015/2016 school year, and will replace the current Belmont Secondary School. Belmont Spanish class features students from Mexico

Preferred application deadline for 2015-16: April 30th

Students interested in studying with us in 2015-16 can use our online application system to apply  for our semester, one year, and short-term programs. Click on the link, available from our home page, to take you to the application form. Be sure to complete all five sections of the application form, and to pay the application fee, as well as to attach a photocopy of the first page of your passport and your school report card from your previous two years of study.

Sooke Schools Homestay Manager to serve as Chair of BC Homestay Network

Sooke Schools International Student Program proudly announces that Homestay Manager Nancy Blundell will serve as Chair of BC Homestay Network. For more than 11 years, Nancy has been providing support to international students at the University of Victoria and the Sooke School District, and Nancy will now have the opportunity to share her wisdom and expertise with Homestay Coordinators from around the province, alongside the excellent work that she does in providing support to the international students in the Sooke School District.

Nancy’s role on the provincial level speaks to the level of commitment and top-quality service that the Sooke Schools International Student Program staff members provide to students who choose to study here.
