Mrs. Laura Schwertfeger, District Principal
Harvard graduate, Canadian National top-five mid-distance runner and avid people person, when time allows Laura continues to serve as a Harvard interviewer for local applicants to this world-renowned university.

Mr. Mark Johnston, District Vice-Principal
With a background in teaching in Canada, Mexico, and China, Mark brings a wealth of educational experience to the program. When he is not busy working with students you can find Mark enjoying the forests and beaches of the Pacific Northwest.

Ms. Nancy Blundell, Program Manager
With a Masters Degree in International Studies and several years of experience with the University of Victoria’s International Student Program office, Nancy facilitates our homestay and activities program with warmth, clarity, commitment and respect for all.o.

Mrs. Sarah Iles, Homestay Coordinator
Our most recent addition to the International Program office team, Sarah coordinates the homestay placement and support for our short-term and summer programs. With her overseas experience in Korea and her background in homestay coordination, she seems like a veteran already!

Mrs. Heather Hines, Program Secretary
Mom to three + many an international student, Heather is adept in all manner of things. She is the welcoming first contact for many students and overseas parents. There’s no question that she can’t answer!

Mrs. Kelly Boyte, Academic Support teacher
Kelly’s legendary energy and enthusiasm provide welcome support to an amazing range of student interests. Specializing in gifted and international student instruction, Kelly has been a key member of the International Program student support team at Belmont High School for several years.

Mr. Mike Bobbitt, Vice Principal and Academic Support teacher, High School Program
An experienced teacher and school administrator, Mike has a passion for the outdoors and enjoys spending time in Sooke’s beautiful natural environment. Mike joined the International Program team at Edward Milne Community School in September 2012.
